Muslims and Nigerians in general have been exhorted by President Bola Tinubu to never waver in their belief in the capacity of his administration to revive the country’s economy.

In addition, Tinubu asked Nigerians to continue being patriotic citizens while policies meant to benefit everyone are being carefully carried out.

On Wednesday, while observing Eid-el-Fitr prayers with the Muslim faithful in Lagos, he provided the guarantee.

Following the prayers at the Eid Ground at the Dodan Barracks, the President spoke to the media and stated that his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to restore prosperity to Nigerians, is being carefully implemented.

“Always believe in my government, and always be patriotic citizens.”

Tinubu underlined the need for Nigerians to prioritize demonstrating their love for their nation, urging Muslims who are celebrating the end of Ramadan to carry the principles of sacrifice and perseverance beyond the fasting time.

“We should keep the fortitude and sacrifice we have demonstrated over these past few months. Be a generous and joyous giver. Since we only have one country, we must love it more than all other countries.

“We have to keep defending the honesty of our leadership and administration.

The Renewed Hope Agenda is still very much in effect, and Nigerians should never lose hope. There is no salvation if there is no hope. There can only be advancement with hope. There is no living without hope. After prayers led by Sheikh Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla, the Chief Imam of Lagos State, the President wished the media a happy Eid Mubarak.

The Chief Imam had earlier in his lecture exhorted Nigerians to abstain from all acts of violence, maintain peaceful coexistence, and never lose hope in their nation.

He urged people in positions of authority to uphold their oaths of office and seek to lessen the suffering of the underprivileged.

The Chief Imam remarked, “Let us not forget our brothers and sisters in Gaza and other areas of conflict.”

He prayed for the nation’s peace and stability as well as for God’s direction, discernment, and protection for the President and the Lagos State administration.
