Former Nigerian minister Pauline Tallen loses son

Richard Adamu Tallen, son of Pauline Tallen, Nigeria’s former Minister of Women Affairs, has died.

According to PM News on Monday, Richard, the minister’s only son, was brought to the intensive care unit at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja on Friday evening for treatment of an unidentified disease and was on oxygen before dying away.

The dead graduated from St. Joseph’s College, also known as Collegium Sancti Joseph (CSJ) VOM, a premier Catholic missionary school in Plateau State that provides complete secondary education to boys.

Meanwhile, his Set Coordinator stated in a Sunday Facebook post titled “Obituary” on the Vom Old Boys Association (VOBA) page.

The message stated, “On a very sad note, we regret to report the sudden demise of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen.

“He died on Saturday, October 5th, in Abuja, following a brief illness, leaving behind a loving family that included his wife and children.

“The family will announce the burial plans.

“Grant him eternal rest, oh Lord; may perpetual light shine upon him, and may Richard’s soul and all the departed VOBA RIP.” Amen.”

The deceased, a 42-year-old Computer Science graduate from a US institution, is survived by his wife and three children.
