Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulrahman Ado Ibrahim CON: The Prince Born to Be King

His Royal Majesty, Alhaji (Dr) Abdulrahman Ado Ibrahim CON, FNMGS, FNSME, DSC, LLD, Atta III and the Ohinoyi of Ebira land from 1997-2023, who joined his famous forebears a year ago, was a rare breed of royalty who only comes around once in a lifetime.

The famous English poet William Shakespeare once stated, “Some are born great; some achieve greatness; and some have greatness thrust upon them.” The late Ohinoyi, our own very particular Adogu, was born great because being sired by the late Alhaji Ibrahim Onoroiza Ichogudo of blessed memory, the Atta of Ebira country from 1917 to 1954, automatically confers greatness upon everyone. Atta Ibrahim embodied brilliance, and his descendants carry it on.

If you’re not convinced, look at the great Atta’s kids and the enviable records they’ve set in their respective disciplines.

Beyond being born excellent, Adogu attained more excellence via hard work, enterprise, and determination. He carved out a space for himself in the commercial world, earning a name and personal fortune that cemented his position as the all-time emblem of prosperity in Ebira nation.

He eventually accomplished his ultimate greatness and lifetime desire by being hailed as the Ohinoyi of Ebira land in 1997, succeeding his father as Atta III and consolidating the Atta legacy in Ebira the land.

Adogu is the valiant defender of the Ebira people.

Adogu was a man who was always willing to go to war to defend Anebira’s reputation and honour. Just ask any Anebira citizen in Lagos who is old enough to know Adogu, and he or she would tell you stories about how Adogu saved the Ebira people at key points in their lives in Lagos.

Adogu, political pacesetter

Most Anebira are unaware that the late Ohinoyi sought for governor during the 1978-79 transition program. When he hit the Kwara political scene as an aspirant in 1978, he did so with a bang, as he always does!
