National Online Forum Elected Umar Lawal As President, In Abuja

The National Online Forum has ushered in a new era of leadership with the official inauguration of its national executives, held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Media Center of the House of Representatives, National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

They elected on House of Representatives Media Center, National Assembly Complex, as acting President in Abuja.

The event was led by the Chairman of the Governing Board, Mr. Undie Emmanuel Agba, who conducted the formal confirmation of the appointments and administered the oath of office to the incoming executives.

The newly inaugurated executives are as follows:

1. Umar Lawal Funtua – National President

2. Obalisa Christelle Laro – Vice National President

3. Mr. Ibunkun Afolayana – National Secretary

4. Rasaz Mutalib – National Treasurer

5. Mr. Victor Valentine Okechukwu – Provost

6. Mr. Tsebeter – Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.)

7. Abubakar Musa – Welfare Officer

In his remarks, Mr. Undie Emmanuel Agba congratulated the newly inducted officials and encouraged them to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a spirit of teamwork in guiding the Forum forward.

Delivering his inaugural address, the newly sworn-in National President, Umar Lawal Funtua, who also serves as the Assistant Managing Director of Reality News TV Katsina, expressed deep appreciation for the confidence placed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to ethical journalism, inclusive governance, and the collaborative advancement of the Forum’s goals.
