CP Bello Warns Katsina Police Officers Against Unauthorized Use of Social Media

The Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, CP Bello Shehu, has cautioned officers of the command against the unauthorized and unprofessional use of social media platforms, stressing the importance of discipline, decorum, and loyalty in service.

He gave the warning on Wednesday, July 31, 2025, during an internal address to officers at the Katsina State Police Command Headquarters.

According to a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, on Thursday, CP Bello emphasized that police officers must conduct themselves in a manner that upholds the dignity and integrity of the Nigeria Police Force, both online and offline.

He particularly noted that abuse of social media by serving officers poses a risk to internal discipline and public trust, and called for full compliance with existing guidelines on media conduct within the Force.
