NPFL Orders Barau FC vs Katsina United Clash Behind Closed Doors

-

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has approved a request by Barau FC for their match against Katsina United FC to be played without fans in attendance.

In a letter dated March 27, 2026, the league stated that the decision was taken due to previous incidents involving supporters of both clubs.

According to a report monitored by Nigerian Post, the NPFL directed Barau FC to put in place all necessary security measures to ensure the match is conducted smoothly, while warning that it will closely monitor compliance with its regulations.

The fixture is part of Matchday 32 of the league and is considered crucial for both teams as they seek to improve their positions on the league table.
