Dr. Lubna Muhammad Gusau (Queen of the Hausa Land) Accepts to Contest for Zamfara Central Senate Seat.

Following persistent calls from various groups and individuals who are passionate about the development of Zamfara State, Dr. Lubna Muhammad Baba Gusau (Queen of the Hausa Land) has agreed to contest for the Zamfara Central Senatorial seat under the platform of the APC. She accepted their request to join the list of candidates for the 2027 elections.

According to a report obtained by Nigrinan Post, Dr. Lubna Muhammad Gusau, who also serves as the African Director of the Gender Equality Agency, announced her intention to run after receiving continuous appeals from members of the public, especially key stakeholders across Nigeria and influential figures in Zamfara State. This comes shortly after the conclusion of the party’s convention in Abuja.

Among those urging her to represent them, she has been described as a strong, courageous, and community-driven woman, known for her integrity, generosity, humility, and respect for the people, despite not holding any political office.

They added that the Queen of the Hausa Land has become a pillar of support for orphans, the less privileged, women, and youths, particularly through providing educational support and empowering them with resources to build sustainable livelihoods.

Speaking after confirming her decision to contest, she stated that she would build on her existing developmental efforts to ensure lasting progress for the people of Zamfara Central, one that will be remembered even beyond her lifetime.

She further emphasized her commitment to working tirelessly to provide quality representation for her people, expressing confidence that they will emerge victorious in the 2027 elections and will not disappoint the APC for giving them the opportunity.
