Katsina State House of Assembly has called on the Executive Arm to rehabilitate a road from Barhim-Magamar Ajiwa and Ajiwa-Makurda roads in Batagarawa Local Government Areas.
The Deputy Speaker of the House who presided over the sitting announced the resolution after deliberations on the motion filed by Tukur Iliyasu Shagumba.
Alhaji Abduljalal Haruna Runka directed the Clerk of the House to forward the resolution to the executive for necessary actions.
Earlier, the mover of the motion, Tukur Iliyasu Shagumba said that the road is a link to several communities in the area apart from boosting socio-economic wellbeing of the people.
Meanwhile, the member representing Baure Local Government Area, Alhaji Sirajo Umar has tabled a motion seeking the conversion of Government Day Secondary School Baure to boarding Science and Technical Secondary School.
He said that the school was established in the nineteen eighty one by the defunct Kaduna state.
He noted that all the Local Government under Daura Senatorial zone has boarding schools with the exception of Baure, hence presenting the motion for its establishment.
The lawmaker explained that the school has all the structures needed to operate as boarding school only required minor renovation and expansions.
