CP Bello Shehu Charges Newly Deployed Constables to Uphold Discipline and Integrity

The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, has charged newly passed-out police constables deployed to the Command to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and integrity in the discharge of their duties.

This is contained in a press statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, who said the Commissioner gave the charge while addressing the constables at the Command Headquarters on Friday, October 24, 2025.

According to the statement, CP Shehu congratulated the new officers on successfully completing their training and described the milestone as both a privilege and a responsibility.

He reminded them that discipline remains the bedrock of effective policing, urging them to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the core values of the Nigeria Police Force. The CP further emphasised that their behaviour on and off duty would shape public perception of the Force.

The statement added that CP Shehu warned the new constables against engaging in corrupt practices or any form of misconduct. He urged them to resist temptations and maintain transparency and accountability in all their operations, noting that such virtues are essential to building public trust.

He encouraged the officers to serve with dedication, honour, and distinction, while remaining civil and respectful towards members of the public.

“Your conduct and commitment will determine how the public views the Police. Always remember that you are ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force,” the statement quoted the CP as saying.

The release further noted that the event formed part of the Command’s ongoing effort to ensure that newly recruited officers align with the vision of the Nigeria Police Force for professional, disciplined, and community-friendly policing.
