The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has stripped Senegal of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title and awarded it to Morocco.
In a statement released by CAF, the organization said its disciplinary committee ruled that Senegal forfeited the match after abandoning the pitch during play, leading to sanctions in line with competition regulations.
DCL Hausa reported that the committee awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory, officially confirming them as the winners of the 2025 AFCON title.
