The Katsina State Government will collaborate with West African Book Publishers Limited to provide books aimed at improving education across the state.

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the education sector, the Katsina State Government plans to partner with West African Book Publishers Limited to supply educational books throughout the state.

This development follows a visit by a delegation led by Dr. Aliyu Musa to the State Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

According to a report obtained by Nigerian Post, the Managing Director of the company, Mrs. Folashade B. Omo-Eboh, commended the Katsina State Government for its commitment to education, particularly in recruiting teachers and improving school infrastructure.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Aliyu Musa expressed his satisfaction with the engagement and discussions held with the state government regarding the partnership.

He noted that although the company is based in Lagos, reports indicate that the state government has recruited over ten thousand teachers—an achievement he described as uncommon in many other states. He also praised the renovation of schools and ongoing teacher training programs.

He added that the next step is to ensure that teachers remain dedicated to delivering quality instruction in order to achieve better educational outcomes.

On his part, the Commissioner for Primary and Secondary Education, Dr. Suleiman Yusuf, stated that the government is ready to collaborate with the delegation to further strengthen the education sector. He emphasized that any initiative that benefits the public will be implemented without delay.

He further stressed that while the government shares the same vision, it is committed to avoiding unnecessary delays in executing its plans.

The delegation also expressed its willingness to support the state by providing free training for teachers in English and Mathematics, as well as reducing the cost of books by half compared to market prices.

In conclusion, they congratulated the people of Katsina State for having a proactive government, especially in advancing education.
