SUBEB Chairman Reiterates Need for Compliance with Minimum Standards for School Infrastructure in Katsina

Executive Chairman Katsina State Universal Board has restated necessity of complying Minimum Standard for Schools’ Infrastructure in the state.

 

Dr. Kabir Magaji Gafiya stated this during opening and closing ceremony of a Two-Day Workshop organized by SUBEB in collaboration with UBEC on Minimum Standard for Schools’ Infrastructure and Operational Guidelines for SBMC held in the conference hall of Education Resource Center in Katsina.

 

According to him, the workshop is timely and strategic as it sets to bridge gabs by equiping SUBEB and Local Education Personnel with required skills, practical knowledge and share understanding of the Reviewed UBEC Minimum Standard for Schools Infrastructure and Operational Guidelines for SBMC in the state.

 

The Executive Chairman said, the workshop is aimed at improving education across Katsina state, as it remains bedrock for sustainable development.

 

He called on all participants to take full advantage of the experience they have learned from the facilitators.

 

Dr. Kabir Magaji expressed appreciation to Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC for its continued support, guidance and partnership in advancing Basic Education in Katsina State.

 

He also acknowledged the strong commitment of Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda for prioritizing education as key pillar of development in the state.

 

The program was attended by critical stakeholders in education from National and state levels, which include SUBEB Secretary, SUBEB Directors, Local Education Secretaries, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, Directors of Physical Planning, Safeguard Officer, among others.

 

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman Katsina State Universal Basic Board has inspected TaRL Program (Teaching at the Right Level) taking place in the conference of hall of Ahuta Hotel in Katsina metropolis.

 

Dr. Kabir Magaji spoke at length on the importance of such programs in developing education sector.

 

He welcame the group team for coming in Katsina state.

 

On her part, the team leader Hajiya Aisha Umar Adamu expressed satisfaction over the readiness of Katsina State Government on the program.

 

She said, they landed in Katsina State to serve the children of the state.

 

Hajiya Aisha Umar Adamu thanked the Executive Chairman for receiving them politely in the state.
