Public Relation Officers have been urged to brace up and face the modern challenges

The Katsina State Commissioner of Information and Culture Dr. Bala Salisu Zango made the challenge during a meeting with the Public Relation Officers in his office.

The meeting which was organized by the ministry was also attended by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Comrade Tukur Hassan Dan-Ali, Directors and other stakeholders.

Similarly, the meeting was aimed at expressing the Commissioner’s and Government’s appreciation on their support and cooperation and to discuss some vital issue related to the Information dissemination activities in the State.

Bala Salisu Zango called on them to intensify effort and be using the new media, Social handles in their activities.

The Commissioner also advised the Public Relation Officers to ensure adequate coverage of the Ministries Departments and Agencies activities for more development.

He noted that Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s led Administration has executed various developmental projects and programmes aimed at uplifting the lots of the electorates in across the State hence the need for effective publicity and proper coverage.

Bala Salisu Zango called on them to report to the Ministry the up to date data as well as the general progress on the activities of MDAS particularly on the ongoing and completed projects.

The Commissioner appealed to the general public to continue with prayers for the peace, success of leaders at all levels.

A cross section of the participants commended the Ministry for organizing the meeting which they described as timely and educative.

They called on the Ministry to continue with such meeting with relevant stakeholders periodically.
