The Lado Scholars Forum (LSF) has revealed that a total of 1,711 students benefited from the scholarship and educational support programmes of the Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke Education Foundation between 2023 and 2026.
The forum disclosed this during a press conference organized to highlight Senator Lado Danmarke’s contributions toward advancing education and supporting students in Katsina State and across Nigeria.
According to the foundation, the beneficiaries include students studying in universities, colleges of education, and polytechnics across the country, including Ahmadu Bello University, Bayero University Kano, Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Al-Qalam University, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, and the Federal University Dutsin-Ma.
Students who benefited from the programme commended the initiative, describing it as a lifeline that has enabled many of them to continue their education despite the challenges posed by rising tuition fees and other academic expenses.
LSF stated that the scholarship scheme has helped numerous students successfully complete their studies, while some beneficiaries have gone on to secure employment after graduation.
The foundation emphasized that such educational interventions play a vital role in promoting learning, reducing the number of students forced to abandon their studies due to financial constraints, and producing educated youths who can contribute meaningfully to the development of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
The forum therefore called on wealthy individuals, private organizations, retired public servants, and government officials to emulate the initiative by investing in the education of young people, thereby helping to build a brighter future for society.
