ADC Activities Suspended in Katsina by Court Order

-

A High Court in Katsina State has ordered the suspension of all activities of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across the state, pending the hearing and determination of a case before it.

The presiding judge, Justice A. K. Tukur, issued the ruling, stating that the order is temporary to allow the court to hear the case without interference.

Reports indicate that the case was filed over disputes relating to the party’s leadership and the management of its affairs in the state.

KatsinaTimes reported that the court has fixed April 15, 2026, for the commencement of the hearing.

However, some members and leaders of the party have rejected the court’s order, insisting that they will continue with their political activities.

As of now, there has been no further clarification from either the court or the party leadership regarding the consequences of violating the order.

Political observers believe the crisis could affect the party’s plans in the state, especially considering the strategic importance of Northern states in Nigeria’s political landscape.
