Hon. Aliyu Albaba has declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Katsina State House of Assembly to represent Katsina Local Government Area in 2027.

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Hon. Aliyu Abubakar Albaba announced his plan to once again run for the Katsina State House of Assembly seat to represent Katsina LGA in the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Albaba made this declaration during the official launch of his campaign, held at the Munaj Hall in Katsina city, where he dismissed rumors suggesting that he would not be contesting, describing them as baseless.

In his speech, he reaffirmed his commitment to continue representing the people of the area, focusing on developmental projects and sponsoring bills that would improve the lives of the people.

He also urged the residents of Katsina Local Government Area to continue supporting him, emphasizing that unity and public backing are key to the success of any political ambition.

In his remarks, a prominent political figure in the area, Engineer Muttaka Rabe Darma, called on the public to elect capable leaders, stating, “It is time we begin to vote for good people; even in your neighborhoods, you know those who are worthy.”

The event was attended by key political stakeholders from the twelve wards of Katsina LGA, along with a large number of supporters, including men and women, family members, and associates, all showing their support for his candidacy.

In conclusion, Hon. Albaba commended his campaign committee for successfully organizing the event and expressed appreciation to all attendees for their contributions toward its success.
