Former Manchester United midfielder and former assistant coach Michael Carrick is reportedly on the verge of becoming the club’s permanent manager following ongoing discussions over a long-term contract.
According to several international media reports, Manchester United officials have been impressed by Carrick’s performances during his time as interim manager, leading the club to seriously consider appointing him as the team’s substantive head coach.
Despite growing reports suggesting that an agreement has already been reached, the Premier League club is yet to make an official announcement confirming Carrick’s appointment.
Reuters also reported that Carrick recently hinted that clarity over his future could come soon, suggesting that talks between both parties are progressing positively.
Although some media outlets have already described him as Manchester United’s new manager, several major football platforms insist that the club’s official confirmation is still being awaited.
