ADC Deploys Reconciliation Committee to Resolve Internal Disputes in Katsina

The national leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dispatched a reconciliation committee to Katsina State to address internal disputes that have recently emerged among members of the party.

The move comes as the party intensifies efforts to strengthen its structures and promote unity ahead of the 2027 general elections. Reports indicate that disagreements have surfaced among some factions within the party in Katsina, particularly over leadership and party administration issues, leading to divisions among members.

The reconciliation committee is expected to meet with party leaders, stakeholders, and other key figures within the ADC across the state to hear grievances and identify the root causes of the disagreements. The committee will also work towards finding lasting solutions capable of restoring peace, stability, and unity within the party.

Political observers have described the intervention as a demonstration of the national leadership’s commitment to maintaining cohesion within the party, especially as ADC seeks to strengthen its position in Katsina State and other parts of northern Nigeria ahead of the next electoral cycle.

The committee’s visit is also expected to provide an opportunity for all parties involved in the dispute to present their concerns and contribute to efforts aimed at fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.

Although no official statement has yet been released on the outcome of the committee’s visit, party members and supporters are optimistic that the initiative will help resolve the differences among the various factions and place the party on a stronger footing as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
