The Asiwaju/Dikko Guaranteed (ADIG) 2027 support group has held a strategic meeting with its leaders from the 11 local government areas of the Katsina Central Senatorial Zone as part of efforts to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda in the 2027 general elections.
According to a report monitored by Nigerian Post, the meeting took place on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Abba Saude House, Katsina, under the leadership of Alhaji Gambo Garba, Personal Assistant to the Honourable Minister. The gathering also served to strengthen unity among members of the group.
In his welcome address, the Katsina Central Zonal Chairman of ADIG 2027, Babangida Umar, stated that the Muslim-Muslim ticket should not be viewed as sectional or discriminatory against any part of Nigeria.
He noted that the Katsina State Government has executed numerous developmental projects within the past three years, adding that such achievements would not have been possible without the financial support and collaboration of the Federal Government.
He also appreciated members for attending the meeting and pledged his continued support for the growth of the organization.
Speaking on behalf of the State Secretary, Abubakar Salisu expressed delight over the ministerial appointment of Muttaka Rabe Darma, saying the appointment inspired the minister to unite his people in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
He added that the initiative would also create more opportunities for members of the organization to benefit from various Federal Government intervention programmes in areas such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and other sectors. He urged members to remain patient, committed, and dedicated to ensuring the APC records another victory in the 2027 elections.
Also speaking, the ADIG Chairman for Katsina Local Government Area, Hon. Mustapha Danlami Yar’adua, commended the organizers for convening the meeting, describing it as an important step toward strengthening unity within the organization.
He emphasized that politics is driven by personal conviction and that no one should be compelled to support any political cause.
According to him, competent and committed individuals were selected from different political backgrounds to contribute meaningfully toward achieving victory in the forthcoming elections.
The State Women Leader of the organization, Hajiya Fatima, expressed concern over what she described as the inadequate inclusion of women in government support and empowerment programmes.
She stressed that women should not be left behind, noting that they are the backbone of electoral success during elections.
According to her, women often contribute more actively than men during election campaigns and possess the ability to effectively persuade communities to support their preferred candidates, regardless of their husbands’ political choices.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the organization, Engineer Faisal Rafindadi, who was represented by his deputy, Usman Umar, disclosed that the group was developing special programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
He further urged members to remain united, patient, and committed, noting that the election period is drawing closer. He called on members to intensify their efforts to ensure victory in the 2027 elections.
The meeting was attended by senior state executives and other key leaders of the ADIG 2027 organization.
